Summer Fun

Ice Cream at Nana's is the best. There is
always room for more ice cream.

Playing in the irragation water keeps us
cool.

Katie likes to lay down in the water.

Lexi and Lizzy are happy just to be together.

Abby and Katie love to have their faces
painted.

July 24, 2009
The first annual Gourley Reunion. We
went to the Days of '47 Parade in Salt Lake
City. George, Laura and her siblings ran in the
race and saved us all places for the parade.

Alex, Sammy, Katie, Lexi, Abby, and Lizzy
They liked the treats and waving at the
Princess'.

It was very, very hot. Luckily Nana bought
a whole bunch of umbrella's or we would not
have lasted the whole parade.

President Eyring was in the Parade at the
very front.

After the Parade we went to Nana's and
relaxed and had dinner. The kids put on
a show after dinner. They were really cute.
It kept them busy for a while.

Lexi in green. Alex even participated. There
was singing and dancing and flag waving.
Yuba Lake
My favorite new place to go boating is Yuba
Lake because there are sandy beaches almost
all the way around the lake. And the water has
been very nice all day when we have gone.

We all really like to eat all the treats
that Mom buys just for boating like
Pringles and Trizzlers.
Lexi is drinking the capri sun.

Abby learned how to water ski this year.
She got up on her first time. She can hang on
all the way around the lake.

The sandy beaches were great for the girls.
Lexi, Katie, Abby, and Lizzy had fun jumping.
They played and played in the sand.

Swimming with Dad is a favorite, but someone
is always not happy. They all take their turns.

Boating on Jordanell, July

Boating with the McNeals.
Lexi, Maggie and Lizzy (hiding her face) these
three play and play together.

Nikki, Katie and Anna

Boating is so much fun. Nikki and Mike like
to ski and wakeboard.

The girls like the food we bring and spending
time with friends and family.

The double tube is what they like to
ride in. They also like swimming and
jumping off the back of the boat.

Katie, Maggie, Lizzy, Abby, Lexi, and Daynon.

Abby

Abby
Abby has decided to grow out her
bangs. It is going to drive her Mom
crazy. She lost her sixth tooth one day.

And her seventh tooth the next day.
Maybe Santa will bring her two more
teeth. She has a very small lisp now. It
is very cute.

Mike and Abby went Four Wheeling up American
Fork Canyon. Abby loves going with her dad, he
lets her drive sometimes.

Seven Peaks with Laura and her family. Abby
loves to go on the slides. Lizzy and Lexi like
the wave pool and the lazy river. Katie likes the
smaller slides and the lazy river.

Lexi in the blue, green and white suit.

Summer Swimming

Summer swimming.
Grandma and Grandpa Broderick's pool is a
favorite activity, both for the kids and parents.
Whether with friends, cousins, or just sister we
always had fun.

Lexi in blue and green and white.

Katie, Abby, Maddie and McKenna can play
on this tube for hours. They giggle and giggle.
It is so fun to watch them.

No hands.

And off they all go.

Family Fun June and July

Lehi Rodeo
We went to the rodeo and had a great time.
The girls had fun cheering on the cowboys.
Lizzy is in the pink.

We went to the Hogle Zoo with Nana, Natalie,
Sammy, Alex, and Clara. The Bird Show was
our favorite. The twins are hiding behind me.

We also liked the elephants, too. The treats
were great especially the cotton candy.

We were all together for the Forth of July.
We had dinner at Mom's then we all went to
The Stadium of Fire and saw the Jonas Brothers
and great fireworks. We all had a lot of fun.

For breakfast that day we had a ward breakfast
along with a children's bike parade.

Lexi would not pose for the picture. George and
Laura ran in the Provo 10 K race.

June 2009

To celebrate the first full week of summer and because
the girls all did their chores and school work, we went and got
ice cream. The McNeals went with us.
The girls like the blue cotton candy ice cream.
BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5363631075848671490The Gourley's, Broderick's, Nana and Natalie take on
the Timpanogus Cave Hike. Seven kids 8 and younger.

Katie, Lexi, Alex, Lizzy, Abby and Sammy were great
little hikers. Hardly any complaining on the way up.
The way down is always a different story. It seems to
be harder to get down the mountain for them than going up.

May 2009

Katie and Abby played soccer this spring , each on different
team. They are both great little players. Lizzy and Lexi
came mostly for the treats that those watching the games
got to eat. It was great fun to cheer on the players.

This was also the month that Mike taught the twins to
ride their bikes without training wheels.
Lizzy in the white and Lexi in the yellow. Now they
can keep up with the big girls.

The twins graduated from pre-school. They are getting
so old.

Lexi in the polka dots. Miss Amber taught all the girls.
The twins will miss her.

Mother's Day with four generations.

Katie's Baptism Day

On May 2, 2009 Mike baptized Katie.

Katie was baptized with her friends, Rhett Miner, and
Shaleah Hayes.

It was a great day. The Spirit was very strong and we
will remember the always.

Disneyland, April 2009

We went to California with all the Broderick's.
We drove down in the motorhome, six kids and
six adults, it was great fun. The first thing we did
was go to the beach and the girls played in the
ocean. It was very cold.

The tea cups were a crowd pleaser. We all
like to spin and spin.

The guys went on Splash Mountain and were soaked.

The first day we saw Mickey Mouse. Maddie, Katie, Lexi,
Abby and Makenna.

This was a great vacation. We all had a wonderful
time together. The last night on the ride home the
girls all fell asleep before we were out of the parking
lot. We can't wait to go back.
